7.5.06 | Shiira or Fox?

Shiira is a web browser based on Web Kit and written in Cocoa. The goal of the Shiira Project is to create a browser that is better and more useful than Safari. All source code used in this software is publicly available.

Bold claims indeed, but after using Shiira now for about 2 weeks, I can only recommend it. It is good. I think it is faster than Safari, better looking than Firefox (what is with those horrible square buttons?) and has some great ideas, including a very flexible sidebar and skinable buttons.

If you use an Apple Mac, then give it a whirl, I don't reckon you'll be dissapointed.

Dont get me wrong I love Safari, it looks great but IF ONLY it worked on all sites. Its very fond of hestitation, and sometimes doesn't work at all.... So lets hope Shira (didnt he play for England?) works a little better...

I agree about safari, but I still think it is a great browser if you think how long Microsoft have been trying to get it right.

Shiira injured his knee recently. Might well be the end of his career.

I put on Annies machine but she ate it. Can they write it in something less palateable?
